Home Gym Must Haves For Beginners

 Home Gym Must Haves

I think that we've all been in the position where we get on a fitness high and then life starts to happen and you get in the habit of not going to the gym anymore. Well finding a way to continue on your fitness journey on busy weeks or days is actually easier than you would think.

Today I will be sharing with you some of my favorite home Gym finds from Amazon that can help you mix in some fitness into your daily life, are easy to store, hit practically all muscle groups and are pretty budget friendly!

1. Ankle Weights

Ankle weights are a great solution to help you elevate any workout, or just add the work out into everyday life. By adding a bit of extra weight to your workouts or when doing chores, its a good way to let your body work a little harder and burn a few extra calories.

2. Jump Rope

Jump Ropes are a great source of cardio to help work your most important muscle, your heart. Not only are jump ropes nostalgic, but they really do a great job of getting your heart rate up and challenging you, and this jump rope is adjustable and tracks your time, jumps, and calories.

3. Resistance Bands

There are loads of YouTube videos and more all over the internet for great resistance band exercises, and they are a great tool you can add to help challenge yourself with basic exercises like squats, push-ups, lunges and many others!

4. Pull Up Bar

If you have a door frame, you have a work out, and this pull up bar comes with a multipurpose system to add to your home work outs. Even if you haven't mastered a pull up yet (like myself) these pull up resistance bands can help you slowly build up to a pull up by adding support for you until you train your muscle to pull up on their own!

5. Kettlebells

Kettlebells are meant for functional exercises, and there are many kettlebell exercise videos all over YouTube that can be really fun to do!

6. Dumbbells & Barbells

This adjustable dumbbell barbell set is awesome for incorporating tons of exercises without having a bunch of equipment lying around, and both dumbbell and barbell exercises are great for strength and muscle building.

7. Walking Pad Treadmill

Walking pads are great for if you want to get a few steps in while you work or cook, and they store easily under beds and in more discreet places. I suggest getting a standing desk in case you are interested in doing your work while getting steps in or if you want an easy way of transitioning from sitting to standing without the hassle.

Hopefully these suggestions came in handy. A lot of these really helped me to stay consistent on days that I didn't feel like going out to the gym or just when I needed a break from my usual workouts!

I know it can be hard to stay motivated or consistent, but trust me when I say when you stick with it and find the things that you like, you will be glad you did! So keep on grinding and stick with it!
